Kuenzli Photography is led by Melanie Künzli, photographer, creative director, and founder. Based in Switzerland, Kuenzli Photography is a photo and video studio working across Europe and beyond, dedicated to telling unforgettable love stories through timeless imagery and cinematic wedding films.
What began over 14 years ago with Melanie’s very first wedding evolved into a refined wedding brand rooted in artistic vision, reliability, and a deep appreciation for meaningful human connection. The initial idea for Kuenzli Photography was born together with her sister Emily, and over time grew into an independent studio now fully led and creatively directed by Melanie.
With a background in photography and visual storytelling, Melanie brings a rare combination of editorial artistry and heartfelt authenticity to every wedding she captures. She is supported by a carefully curated team of trusted creatives who share the same high standards, aesthetic sensibility, and commitment to excellence.
Kuenzli Photography specializes in elegant destination weddings, multi-day celebrations, and refined events that blend high-end aesthetics with real, emotional moments. I’m Mel, founder of Kuenzli Photography, luxury wedding and fashion photographer based in Basel and Zürich.
With over a decade of experience capturing destination weddings and high fashion moments around the world, my work is defined by timeless elegance, artistic storytelling and an intuitive eye for emotion. I believe the most beautiful images are the ones that feel honest, the quiet tears, the contagious laughter and the in-between glances no one else notices.
Beyond photography, I am a passionate soul with a deep love for life. I have a big heart for animals and am a proud rescue dog mum, something that constantly reminds me of loyalty, connection and unconditional love. I adore traveling and discovering new cultures, which has shaped the way I see beauty and human connection across the world.
I speak four languages, which allows me to connect effortlessly with international couples and families. I am a true book lover and you will often find me lost in a novel or reading about art. . Together with my partner, I share a deep passion for culinary experiences, from cozy hidden gems to fine dining, always celebrating the art of gathering around a beautiful table.
